Observations about the setup. Sorry to hijack this thread but I am trying to do exactly the same thing. Seeing your thread I realised I bought a F5D a few years ago, thinking I could use it to wirelessly connect a printer via it's ethernet port, but this never worked and it has been lying unused and forgotten. I have dug it out just to see whether it would work as you describe but realised it only has an ethernet connection and a 5V DC power input. I have also mislaid the power supply so that's probably the end of it and I will have to buy the Panasonic USB dongle after all, although I do agree it is expensive.
Last edited: Jul 22, No surprise that I've given up on the idea of using the F5DD Looking at similar questions on other forums there are several options that seem more attractive.
HomePlugs - see Wifi Bridge. Sounds effective but rather messy. Can anyone confirm this? Looks like it might be me! Given they're both netgear devices interoperability shouldn't be a cause for concern but send a mail to their support desk to confirm. Remember Netgears website states Works a treat with my D25, also got my sony bluray plugged in to it too. It's better than a gaming adaptor as it has four ports on the back, it should work with an xbox too.
Thought i would mention it to anyone looking for a cheaper way than the Panasonic dongle. Viera Cast looks good and automatically prompted for software update. But SD is perfectly fine until then only needs 1. Last edited: Jul 31, Is it just a case of plugging it in? Also, with the set hooked up is iplayer available?
I'm struggling to find any info on this. Last edited: Aug 3, Just found out today that the Panasonic TV is not recognizing wireless anymore.
Connected it with an Ethernet Cable and it now works. Doesn't even need the adapter. Not sure if a storm or something destroyed something internally in the TV. Lots of time spent to determine it is the internal workings or not of the TV. We are investigating this as the highest priority and will provide updates at Status.

However the tv simply wont connect, although it does fine over wifi. Even if your existing tv doesn't have this feature, there are various options using which, you can connect internet to it. The simplest one with the greatest access is the roku. Videos you watch may be added to the tv's watch history and influence tv recommendations.
At allconnect, we work to present quality information with editorial integrity. Here are some threads from a post on another forum. Since your bedroom tv isn't smart like your living room one you will need to get a media streamer to make it smart. This video shows how to connect a panasonic tv to a wifi network. This is called screen mirroring or screen casting. I can ping and trace the TV. Do you mean I should be able to see the PeeCee screen, ie.
